We rely on residential water meters to inform our water and sanitary sewer rates, but their accuracy declines over time. Proactively replacing older meters helps support a fair and sustainable rate schedule.

What’s the Story?

Since launching the program in 2020 within our operations budget, we’ve made steady progress—hiring a Maintenance Worker I, reaching our 2021 water meter replacement goal, rebuilding in 2022 by refilling a vacant Maintenance Worker I position, and resuming meter replacements based on age and functionality.
